Portrait: "A" - Drawing ; "B" - Painting

Comprehensive studies including structure and anatomy of the head, neck and shoulders as well as specific features i.e. eyes, nose, mouth, ears, etc. When painting, a greater emphasis will be placed on representing a likeness while having access to more sustained poses provided by live models. The use of a variety of media will be accommcdated.

Model fees $35 Suggested Times: Wed -Thur 6:30-9:30pm

Figure-Drawing (Painting Optional)

A Study in drawing from live draped and undraped models (male & female), and is designed to increase visual awareness by active observation of the human form and gestures. Attention will be give to isolation the body into segments and a series of interlocking spheres, blocks, ovals and wedges while retaining the concept that the figure is an organic whole with character, flexibility, logic and strength.

Painting: Oils/Acrylics - All Levels

Students study oil (the most flexible of all mediums) and /or acrylic materials and how to prepare them for composition. Students will become familiar with application techinques and all aspects of colour mixing, blending, and glazing as well as the variety of brushes, palette knives, associated gels, textured mediums and other materials available for producing virtually any image imaginable.

Suggested Times: Tues 6:30-9:30pm; Thur 9-12; Fri 1-4
